Pitfield Equestrian Centre was established in July 2006. The centre is run by the Kinsella family, who have been farming in the area for many years. Margaret was teaching mathematics at the local Post Primary school for many years and took early retirement in 2005 to start a career in the equestrian business. She has always been passionate about horses and recently returned to college to study equine science. In recent months she has taken the BHS stage exams at Calliaghstown, and also achieved the British Equestrian Tourism (BET) qualification, which is a requirement for trekking.
